Horseheath Point to Point

Cambridgeshire Hunt Point to Point HORSEHEATH

Quoted in Horse and Hound as the best course in East Anglia where horses run along the skyline on the back straight, a great sight with all fences viewable from most areas attracts many stars of the future.

Up-to-the-minute going updates, meeting prospects or cancellations are available on the web www.pointingea.com
The Cambridgeshire Hunt held Point-to-Point races in Hemingford Abbots from 1957 to 1971. With it's closure and also that of both the Newmarket and Thurlow course at Moulton and the Puckeridge course at Wickham Hall, the move was made to the newly laid course at Horseheath, which was partly on the site of an old gallop used by the 1834 Derby winner Plenipotentiary who was later retired to stand at stud at nearby Linton.
